The inner strenght and hidden energy are typical for the work of the Moravian painter and musician Vladimír Kokolia. His basis is the oscillation between man and ornament, between expresiveness and philosophical contenplation. As one of a few young artists he did remain immune for the oppressive existencial feeling of the preceding generation of the seventies. In his works the continuing tragedy of the human being is suppressed and softened by a subtle and even inexpressive screen.
